When Feeling Frustrated or Overwhelmed,

there is Some Relief - Learn How

to  Experience More Joy and Love in Life.

Heal, Grow, and Enjoy Life More

For over 40 years, I have worked with people from all walks of life - students and parents, young adults and midlife professionals, retirees and older adults, helping them heal, grow, and build more satisfying relationships. Together, we work to reduce emotional suffering and create lasting change through compassionate, knowledgeable support and practical insight that you can apply in everyday life.

My specialty is helping people become more fully themselves, more authentic, more self-accepting, and more free to live the life they truly want. In our work, we explore and gently transform the inner obstacles that keep you from your authentic self so that you can experience greater ease, deeper love, and a more meaningful, fulfilling life.

I have practiced in Manhattan and Westport, Connecticut, and have treated stress, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and the many ways emotional pain shows up in work, family, and intimate relationships. Drawing from transpersonal and modern psychoanalysis as well as eclectic psychodynamic psychotherapy, I tailor our work to who you are, not just to a diagnosis.

When appropriate and requested, I integrate meditation and contemplative practices as part of the healing process, which many people find helpful in easing symptoms and supporting long-term emotional balance. In some cases, using these approaches in collaboration with medical providers can contribute to reducing the need for certain medications, though this is always done thoughtfully and on an individual basis.

The true core of this work is your inherent capacity to heal and grow, even in the face of long-standing or painful challenges. The goal of therapy with me is greater emotional maturity, more joy, deeper love, and the ability to live your life more fully and wholeheartedly.
